CHAMBER LUNCHEON
Business Emergency Preparedness: What’s at Stake for Your Business?

"IN CONVERSATION WITH" Join us for an informative and timely Chamber Luncheon focused on Business Emergency Preparedness: What’s at Stake for Your Business? Learn how local businesses can prepare for emergencies and build resilience in the face of disasters that can disrupt operations, impact employees and customers, and threaten long-term business stability. From earthquakes and wildfires to floods and Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), preparedness is essential to protecting your business and supporting a faster recovery for our community.

Guest speaker Diana Borges, Community Leader of COPE (Communities Organized to Prepare for Emergencies), will share practical strategies to help businesses prepare for a variety of emergency situations. Borges holds a B.S. in Geology from UC Davis and spent more than 20 years working in environmental consulting. Her scientific background in geology and environmental safety shapes her practical, community-focused approach to emergency preparedness.

Joining her is Kristina Owens, Government Operations Manager for the Town of Windsor. Owens oversees operations that support the Town’s governance, public services, and strategic initiatives. The Town of Windsor works closely with COPE to strengthen emergency preparedness efforts throughout the community.

Businesses are the backbone of economic recovery. When disasters occur, closures can create ripple effects across employees, suppliers, customers, and the community as a whole. By planning ahead, businesses can reduce risks, protect lives, and recover more quickly.

Each guest will receive a Sonoma County Business Emergency Preparedness Guide and a “GO Bag” to help kick-start their preparedness planning. Don’t miss this valuable opportunity to gain practical tools, local resources, and expert guidance to help safeguard your business.  Connect with fellow members and support our community. We look forward to seeing you there!
